Two Homes, One Week, and a New Chapter for Our Family

August brought a milestone for our family that still makes me smile every time I think about it... both of our daughters bought homes and closed in the same week.

It's hard to believe how quickly life moves.

Kelsey and Brody purchased a home in Wadsworth, while Matt and Laney bought a home in North Olmsted. Two different cities, two different homes, two very exciting new chapters. All unfolding within days of each other.

From Busy House to Empty Nest

With those closings, we officially entered a new season of life: empty nesters.

There's a mix of emotions that comes with that title, pride, excitement, nostalgia, and a quiet appreciation for how far our girls have come. Watching each of them step into homeownership was incredibly meaningful. Buying a home isn't just a transaction; it's a statement of independence, stability, and confidence in what's ahead.

Different Homes, Perfect Fits

What made this moment even more special was seeing how perfectly each home fit the life they're building.

Kelsey and Brody's home in Wadsworth reflects where they are right now, settling in, building routines, and creating a place that feels like theirs. Matt and Laney's home in North Olmsted marks another exciting chapter, full of possibility, growth, and new experiences.

Our house is a little quieter these days, but our hearts are very full.

This season looks different than the years filled with school schedules, busy mornings, and packed calendars — and that's okay. It's a reminder that homes evolve, families grow, and new chapters begin whether we're ready or not.
